SSA shall have the sole and unfetted
discretion to appoint Team Officials for its overseas
competitions.
The
following are key considerations:
: Purpose of appointment
vis-à-vis team and competition requirements
: Strategic and Financial
considerations
: Swimming technical knowledge
and experience (e.g. FINA rules, etc.)
:
Coaching technical knowledge and experience (e.g.
conditioning, tapering/peaking, psychological, etc.)
: Potential to double-up as Coach
or Team Manager
:
Relevance to competitors – combination of the
following factors:
- number of swimmers
selected
- IPS-weightage
- medal potential
: Relationship with stakeholders:
- Team, including
rapport with swimmers and other officials
- External bodies,
e.g. SNOC, SSC, ASF, FINA, Organising Committee,
etc.
- Media
- Others, e.g.
parents, coaches, etc.

Track record in managing stakeholders at past
international competitions and National Squad
training sessions
: Minimum of at least one
Singapore Citizen Coach or Team Manager |
