NCAP SWIMMING COACHING - LEVEL 2 TECHNICAL COURSE  
   


This intermediate coaching course aims to teach coaches train developing athletes in the physical, technical and mental mental demands of the the sport. It adeptly provides Coaches with the essential immediate knowledge of swimming in particular. Coaches will be better equiped with enhanced training methodolgies, seasonal intermediate programme planning, understanding sports psychology, treating swimming injuiries, enlightened about the intimate relationship nutrition and sport performances, enhanced stroke coaching, advanced skills training & analysis of competition strategies, etc.

 
   
 
   

Certification
Upon regsitration, applicants for this course must produce the NCAP L1 Technical & Theory Certificate as well as the NCAP Swimming Coaching Level 2 Certificate. Participants must also posesses valid CPR certificate or higher eg recognised Standard First Aid and must be a practicing coach for one year* (Please filled up the coaching form which is enclosed with the registration form)

 
       
    Fees
The course fee set at SGD $400/- includes all handouts, reading materials as well as the compulsory Theory Examination Fee which is held at the end of the course.
 
       
    Date, Time & Venue

The Course will commence on the 19th September 2011. For this intake, the particpants can indicate their preference for the course schedule as shown below.

1) a one week intensive crash course from 19th -23rd September 2011 (9.00am - 5.00pm) with the mandatory Theory and Practical Examination on the following week.

2)Weeknights lessons (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) from 7.00pm - 9.00pm which will  spread over a period of 5 weeks with a mandatory Theory and Practical Examination at the 6th week.

Once we have a minimum no. of particpants (25 pax), the course will commence according to schedule which the majority of particpants have indicated. The venue is to be confirmed.

    Course Requirements
All applicants who are admitted into the course proper are strictly required to fulfill a minimum requirement of 80% of the total number of lessons conducted. Failing to do so will constitute an immediate failure and will subsequently be removed from the course proper.
 
       
    Course Attachment

Upon passing both Practical and Theory Exams, you will be required to fulfil a minimum of 48 attachment training sessions (a minimum time frame of 1.5hours each session) with any of our affialites which can be found here on our SSA Website. The minimum duration period of such attachment is 6 months while the max is 1 year

 
   

 

 

Application

The minimum class size required before this course is allowed to commence is 25 while the maximum of applicants SSA can accomodate is 40. 

Please kindly note that registration is based on a first-come-first-served basis. All registration must be done in person. No fax or email will be entertained. When registering, you must produce all your ORIGINAL certicates. No scanned or faxed or emailed or photocopied documents will be accepted.

Upon your successful registration, you will be issued an Official Receipt by us. Do keep the receipt and remeber to bring it on the very first day of the course for verification purpose

The Singapore Sports Council (SSC) & Singapore Swimming Association (SSA) reserve the right to cancel , postpone, change the venue(s), dates and time of the course at their discretions. They are also not to be held responsible for any claims arising from injuries, damages or loss of lives sustained and/or incurred while attending the course and this includes all costs incurred as a result of such claims.

Applicants whom SSA eventually removes from its entire course due to repeatedly poor attendance, will not have their reinstate requests entertained unless they are strongly substantiated by genuine reasons which are deemed to be inevitable and due to unforeseen circumstances. Even so, such requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Similarly, applicants who fail the Skills Test or the Practical and/or Theory Exams are not allowed to appeal to have their results reviewed.
