The SCTAS will concentrate on three main aspects:
Elite/
Competitive-level Swimming
Members will gain insights and keys to industry best-practices,
and better equip themselves to grasp a competitive-swimmers’
needs for elite-level performances.

well as Strength and
Conditioning

practices of elite-level athletes
Learn-To-Swim
Members will explore the most up-to-date and effective concepts
and methodologies on how to impart the joy of swimming to people
of all ages and starting levels.
These include the development of:

skills for Disabled Swimmers

negotiation skills
Career Preparation in
Swimming Coaching & Teaching
Members
will be given opportunity to network
with existing players in the market, define trends in the
swimming world with industry experts, and be exposed to an array
of tools to put them in good stead to pursue a career in this
ever-evolving industry.
These include:

Meetings and dialogue organised
within SCTAS

Workshops with industry
experts

Development of managerial
skills through structured seminars

Executive Committee advocates
the importance of having a broad base of coaches and
teachers who are committed to broaden and deepen their knowledge
of swimming et al.
Its
members should be able to communicate both the tangible and
abstract concepts of elite–level swimming eloquently and
concisely.

that we can then drive Singapore
Swimming towards our greater vision of competing at a truly
world-class level.
