SSA regrets an incident involving
swimmer Jeffrey Su, his coach Gary Tan, and his club, Swimfast
Aquatic Club. SSA Exco has passed sanctions following a
Disciplinary Committee hearing, and has also issued a Press
Statement.

Pre-World Championships Games 2011
SSA hosts this competition from
9-13 July at the Toa Payoh Swimming Complex. Six
world-class water polo teams, Hungary, Serbia, Croatia,
Australia, Spain and Germany, engage in friendly competition,
while in Singapore to acclimatise and prepare for the upcoming
FINA World Championships in Shanghai, China.

2nd Singapore Diving Invitational 2011
This was be held at Toa Payoh Diving Complex from 8-10
July. Divers from Brunei, Indonesia, Philippines, Macau
and Singapore competed for honour, while inculcating
international friendship. This competition served as SEA
Games 2011 trials for Singapore divers.

6th Singapore National Synchronised Swimming Championships 2011
The 6th SNSSC were held 24-26 June at the Toa Payoh Swimming
Complex. A total of 14 local and overseas clubs participated.

7th Singapore National Swimming Championships 2011
The event from 21-26 June served as a qualifying meet for the
FINA World Championships 2011 and Olympic Games 2012. SSA
congratulates SwimFast Aquatic Club,
Joseph Schooling and Tao Li
for respectively winning the team, male and female swimmer
titles.

Anti-Doping Outreach Booth at SNSC2011
In collaboration with the SSA,
Anti-Doping Singapore Board (ADSB) conducted its anti-doping
outreach at the 7th SNSC 2011. This educational initiative saw
185 visitors at the Booth, with 97% acknowledging that the
experience was informative and online quiz was fun.
